Registered Nurse
Essential Functions:
The Lactation Consultant is an integral part of the health care delivery team with in the Maternal Child service line.
The Lactation Consultant is responsible for the assessment, evaluation, lactation support and education of breastfeeding families.
The Lactation Consultant is responsible for the education and training of all staff member in the Maternal Child service line.
Board Certification as a Lactation Consultant is required.
The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process, facilitates patient care making nursing assessments and diagnosis, formulates care plans based on the diagnosis and implements and evaluates the plan of care.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor's Degree, preferred Associates Degree Licensure/Certification/Registration Florida Registered Nurse License BLS NRP Certified as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) preferred Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Previous experience in Maternal Child Health Nursing.
Previous experience in lactation consulting preferred.
